What is Litespeed?
LiteSpeed Web Server is the leading high-performance, high-scalability web server from Litespeed technologies.
Litespeed is significantly faster than Apache (Litespeed is a drop in replacement for Apache), as a result sites load faster and can handle more traffic.

Will my web application work?
LiteSpeed has been in commercial use since 2003. It is a drop in replacement for Apache and has been designed to be fully compatible with Apache functionality. If your web application(s) works on Apache, it is highly likely to work with LiteSpeed.
Clook have been using LiteSpeed on our cloud platform for c. 3 years and as a result are familiar with some edge case issues, mainly relating to older web applications. Our SysAdmin team are busy creating a provisioning plan to resolve these, to make the switch over hassle free.
What downtime will there be?
Very little, it takes about 10 seconds to switch from Apache to LiteSpeed.
How much extra will this cost me?
Absolutely nothing, it’s included within your current hosting cost.
What do I need to do?
Nothing at this stage.
We will be migrating servers in stages and will confirm the exact timings and steps you need to complete in due course.
