Celebrating Lancashire Day…!
Tuesday 27th November sees our county celebrate Lancashire Day – a day to be proud to be from the Red Rose County…
It is held to commemorate the day in 1295 when Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament, to attend the Model Parliament of King Edward I. In modern times the 27th November is a day to enjoy Lancashire culture, food and traditions and promote local business.
A few reasons to celebrate Lancashire Day
We have an exciting, youthful cricket team currently boasting a number of England Internationals (we’ll ignore this season’s performance!). The area is a hotbed of football – Blackburn Rovers, the Pride of Lancashire, yet we also have a number of smaller clubs too – Preston North End, Blackpool, Accrington Stanley, Fleetwood, AFC Fylde, Morecambe and Burnley.
We have culinary delights – the famous Lancashire Hotpot, Butter Pies and Chorley Cake.
The Seaside! With miles and miles of shoreline we have a number of great towns dotted amongst it and of course, the Vegas of the North in Blackpool.

If you have an accounts query it is likely Jamie will be the one to help you resolve it…! Away from the office he is a supporter of Tony Mowbray’s blue and white army, enjoys watching and playing cricket and appreciates a good meal out.
